The Hope Project Awarded Honorable Mention at Hunterdon County Library Exhibition
Participating in the 2013 Friends of Hunterdon County Library Outdoor Art Exhibition, sacred artist Vas Avramidis was awarded an honorable mention for an original painting that is part of Hope Project series. Avramidis had numerous works on display at the exhibition, including two handcrafted Byzantine icons, a work of contemporary sacred art, a landscape painting, two portraits, and a collection of abstract works.
“It was a beautiful day, and the fellowship of other artists was inspiring,” said Avramidis. The exhibition which is an annual event drew artists of all ages, backgrounds, and experience. In addition to the exhibition of local, original art, the event featured live music, and tables staffed by local historical organizations.
Beautifully done, with character and in a environment where religious art seems disappearing. Intriguing at the same time , it shows passion and love.
Congratulations,
